Use a dedicated Public-access key from Torn API settings. Only the key used to join will sign in to your account. Keep it private; an admin can give you a replacement link if you rotate it.

How your key and data are used
Key accessPublic or a custom key allowing key/info and user/basic.
Key storage & sharingThe raw key is not stored or shown to other members. A one-way fingerprint is stored to recognize your key. The key is sent only to Torn over HTTPS to verify you at signup and login.
Data storageYour Torn ID, name, faction ID, and schedule remain on this private server until the board data is removed.
Data sharingInvited faction members can see your name and schedule. Your API key is never shared.
PurposeVerify faction membership and coordinate war availability. This page does not currently poll Torn status.
